What To Expect? All classes begin with basic drama skills, helping to build confidence and self-esteem. They also include rudimentary performance skills in stagecraft, acting, singing and movement. Students will learn valuable performance techniques, including: character building, vocal projection, diction, improvisation, devising and script work. These classes are especially designed to be great fun!
When these fundamental skills have been attained, each student will have the option to train towards Trinity College examinations in Acting, Speaking of Verse and Prose, Mime and Devised Performance. These are offered from Entry level up to Grade 8. These exams are not compulsory but are an excellent way for children to receive recognition for their hard work. Trinity exam tuition is at no extra cost to our students but the examination fees are in addition to session costs. 2013 will be our 5th year of taking part in Trinity College examinations and there have been over 200 exams taken during that time!
Limited Numbers and Class Fees Every student needs to get the most from each session, therefore numbers are strictly limited to just 15 students per class. This ensures that each student receives personalised tuition to help them progress quickly in a safe and positive environment, which enables them to gain self-confidence and self-esteem. Every child is offered the chance to try Theatre Cats for free at a no obligation trial class. Classes are then just £7 per session. For more information about Theatre Cats click HERE.
